What is User Experience Design ?

User Experience Design (abbreviation UX, UXD) – A discipline focused on designing the end-to-end experience of a certain product. To design an experience means to plan and act upon a certain set of actions, which should result in a planned change in the behaviour of a target group (when interacting with a product).

You now know that UX is not about prototyping, is not about visual design, is not about research. UX is broader than that. User Experience is about the creation of efficient and pleasurable products based on knowledge about human behavior and emotions.

Great user experience are useful, usable, and desirable

Useful : Customers can accomplish their goals.

Usable: Customers can easily perform tasks.

Desirable: Customers enjoy their experience

Cognitive scientists now understand that emotion is necessary part of life, affecting how you feel, how you behave, and how you think.Indeed, emotion makes you smart. The emotional system is also tightly coupled with behavior, preparing the body to respond appropriately to a given situation.

We literally feel good or bad, relaxed or tense. Emotions are judgemental, and prepare the body accordingly.

Emotion adding decision making. Positive emotions are as important as negative ones-positive emotions are critical to learning.

Human beings are, of course, the most complex of all animals, with accordingly complex brain structure. Human attributes result from three different level of the brain.

  1. Visceral level
  2. Behavioral level
  3. Reflective level

Visceral level : This is the automatic prewired layer. Like a appearence.

Behavioral level : The pleasure and effectiveness of use

Reflective level: Self-image, personal satisfaction, memories
